Nemo Maritime

Large amounts of CO2 must be removed in order to achieve the goal of not exceeding a temperature increase of 1.5 C.

Experience from offshore loading and transportation of oil from fields in the North Sea can be used to develop innovative solutions for CO2 transportation and direct injection into adapted fields on a world-wide basis.
Today, reservoir data is lacking to perform industrial/ large scale CO2 injection into reservoirs.
We must therefore research this data to ensure substrates for proper dimensioning of equipment for this operation.

Our goal

Our goal is to build ships with large stock volumes of process facilities so that we can carry out these operations.
The research provides us with the necessary data to facilitate the correct combination of equipment and operational envelop.
Nemo Maritime AS plans to have enough information available to start a pilot project and be ready by 2025 for testing.

Expected results and impact

Nemo Views that is transport and injection solution will have great flexibility and become significantly more affordable than solutions based on fixed infrastructure.

The project can close technology gaps and provide the basis solutions on a large scale
